Can You Believe It?
September? How did that happen?
I have been lucky to have both my granddaughters spend some time at the shop. Carley has made mask after mask for the long term care facilities, the local hospital, as well as friends and family. Kimber has just entertained us!
But school is back in session. This week marked first day of high school for one and first day of kindergarten for the other. Wow! Where did the time go?
Speaking of masks--we have the Creative Grids mask template in stock and I think we will be making them for awhile. So, might be handy to have onyour cutting table. And this Chiefs fabric is finally in! 58" wide, too!
The PRIM Sew-Along with Lori Holt has started but you can join in anytime!
We have all you need to make this quilt!
We have the fat quarter bundle, background, applique templates, and Lori's stabilizer. Follow her blog for more details and do a block each week.
Cheryl is starting a sew-along on Wednesdays using Michelle Hiatt's Timeless with a Twist-Series 1 pattern. This is a great opportunity to learn precision piecing techniques with Deb Tucker's Studio 180 rulers. This was written as a block of the month and we will use it as a block of the week. You may already have the rulers needed: The Tucker Trimmer, the Wing Clipper, and the Square Squared. There are 3 different settings for the 12 (12" finished) blocks and only one requires an additional ruler.
Here is how it works: Purchase the pattern booklet for 49.99 and you are in!
Purchase the rulers if you do not already have them. Select your fabric. This is a fat quarter friendly pattern but you are welcome to use your stash. You have the pattern and can select fabrics as you go then join us for demos and sewing Wednesday afternoons at 4-6 PM. 12 weeks/12 blocks and you can move at your own pace. This pattern is wonderfully illustrated showing you how to use the rulers. Deb tucker's rulers are all based on making slightly oversized units that are then trimmed down to accurate measurements. Use your scraps, choose a color or holiday theme, or just practice precision piecing! Come join the fun!
