I never really thought about that phrase [a cold snap] but I think we just experienced it.
Seems like I want to plan some finishes as well as a few new projects.
This is the time of the year when designers and fabric companies flood our email with pictures of their new designs. We've already ordered and plans for some new samples.
Cheryl has been working on the sample of our new Block of the Month. Mary has been busy cutting the kits for the first month.
Meet "Marbella":
We know you will love the colors and patterns in these fabrics. Contemporary prints but there are florals, graphics, and textures. The medallion design features a large center block with simple applique shapes surrounded by a pieced border then large 16" square blocks frame the design. The directions are very thorough and well written. The quilt is stunning but restful. It will finish at 85" square but there is an optional border that will enlarge it to 105" square.
This is a 10 month BOM and is $18 a month. Register online, in the shop, or by phone. The Registration fee of $18 will be applied to your last month's kit.
FALL RETREAT

We will be at the Heartland Community Theatre Pavillion for a weekend dedicated to sewing with friends, old and new. Day passes are available.

This is our first year hosting. We are hosting "Get Drizzled" from Higginsville, Missouri. They will offer many varieties from sweet to savory, and some non-alcoholic as well. Taste testing in the shop!
