Big Stitch Quilting with Dawn Heese
We welcome Dawn Heese as our instructor for this class. Dawn has taugh throughout the US and Europe. She will show us examples of how to hand finish our projects with this fun technique using #8 perle cotton and the "Big Stitch" technique.
Supplies: 24” piece of light colored cotton 26” piece of cotton for the backing 26” piece of batting- (Do not use Warm and Natural or any batting with a scrim) Masking tape Basting safety pins Quilting hoop- 14” is a great size Blue water soluble marking pen Thimble Small scissors Size 24 Chenille needle Size 8 pearl cotton in a color that will contrast with your fabric.

| Instructor Bio: | Dawn Heese is an author, pattern and fabric designer and award winning quilter. She has published 5 books with Kansas City Star and her second book, published by Quilt-mania, was released in April 2020. She designs quilt and punch needle patterns under the name Linen Closet Designs. Her patterns have a vintage, folk art appeal. Dawn's work can be seen in international and national magazines such as Quiltmania, Simply Vintage, Quilt Country, Quilts and More, and Primitive Quilts and Projects. She teaches in France and all over the US, sharing her love of applique and quilting. Dawn lives in Prairie Home, Mo. |
